Rhino and male lions

We’ve now seen all the animals we wanted to see. Yesterday we finally saw the rhinoceros that we’ve been searching for the last couple of days. We saw a mother and baby rhino and were able to get fairly close . . . it was a cool experience. While we were tracking the rhino we ran into two male lions on the side of the path. We hadn’t seen male lions with full-grown manes until yesterday so this was very exciting. Lions can spend 18-20 hours a day sleeping so it can be very hard to spot them. Luckily these lions were resting in some shade that was 10 feet from where we were driving. Anyway, it was a great day all around. I can’t believe how many people are checking these updates…. I appreciate that support. Tomorrow we leave the bush and head for Victoria Falls. Thanks again for the much appreciated support. - Levi

Yeah!!!!! The pictures and experiences are amazing. You are looking good. I am so glad to get pictures of you, too. You are an incredible young man, I am so glad you are my nephew. I hope you have the good time you want at Victoria Falls. It must be an incredible place. I love water falls, and to think you are there at the highest bungie jump in the world is really something! I look forward to pictures and experiences you have there. I love you!

Another great blog. Levi, it is easy to spot the pictures that you take. The beautiful animals, in their beautiful natural surroundings, taking dumps!!!! Why does this not surprise me?

Still, the best picture you have ever taken was of the HH Crew on Lions Back in Moab, Senior year spring break. Classic.

Love you brother.

Wow! You even caught it in mid-air! Perfectly clear with no blurring from the falling...poor elephant! No privacy out there in the bush! I knew you would see rhinos, and the lions with the manes complete the safari! Good luck in Victoria Falls! Who's going bungee jumping? Love ya!

Wow! Awesome! The twins always want to look at "Levi in Africa"! I was looking at the blog with them this morning and asked them if they wouldn't love to be able to see all those animals in Africa too. They both very emphatically disagreed. It is way to scary because Lions eat you. Elli is now praying that "the lions won't eat Levi" Good luck with that. And enjoy the Falls!

Love,
Angie

HI Snarr family,
The pictures just get more and more
exciting. I've decided that Dave
and I have to go visit our African
relatives. I hope they have all
the animals in Nigeria that you
are seeing. Our computer has never
been off and on so much, checking
to see if more pictures and stories are there on the computer
from you. Keep having a great time.
We are praying for all of you

Levi and Crew -

Awesome pics! What an adventure you are all on. You look great Levi, Ron not so much! Just kidding. You know there is only one guy that I would let get away with yelling out the window, "Holly Tuckett, Loves you!" I really love you all and am looking forward to hearing you tell all about your exciting Safari adventures. So Levi, are you going to bungee jump the falls? That is F-ing nuts! But you Snarrs' really are that nuts! Have a great rest of your trip! See you soon!

Love to all,
Holly Tuckett

Ahh, yes... Seeing the elephant caught in mid-dump brings back so many memories of Ron. Did anyone think to call the paramedics? Or weigh it and give it a name? Ron, was it "dilated to a nine"???

I'm so grateful you could all have this trip together. What a wonderful adventure. You are in our prayers, and our kids are praying for you as well. Have a great time at the falls.

Levi et al.,

We all love your pictures. Zach thought that the one of the lion yawning was very scary! It was great talking to you today. Enjoy sleeping under the mosquito net and listening to the animals tonight.

I LOOOVE checking the site everyday. Levi, you look so good -- maybe you should stay in Africa and WE will come and visit you! (Are the natives slipping you something in your herbal tea?)

Thanks so much for sharing this trip with us all!! Bill and I ask each other every night after getting home from work -- "Have you seen the new posting on Levi's blog today?" Chris is keeping up with it, too.

Love, Claudia

PS> Do lions really sleep 20 hours a day? How does one land that assignment?!! I want to be reincarnated as a lion :-).

That's crazy you were that close to lions! They don't look like they even noticed you were there. Did Ron Buddy try to ride 'em? It seems like it would give him another story/analogy for his talks besides the shooting the tube story.
Hope you guys are having a blast! Love ya, Brother!

Let me begin by thanking Gavin for taking the time to create this blog. This has been so wonderful for so many of us to experience this trip through Sy's camera (thank you Sy, the pictures are fanulous) and your words! THANKS GAVIN!!!
Ron, I think the picture pf you playing "tour director" should make the "world travels wall! That is a classic! Sy yourpictures are so incredible, especially the lions, aren't the beautiful creatures? Levi, you continue to amaze all of us. My son Parker had a chance to log-on to your blog. By the way, he continues along with the other missionaries to pray for you every day! He is amazed at your courage, strength and determination and believes the Lord trully loves you! Your rosy cheeks keep getting rosier, you look great! Have a great time at Victoria falls, can't wait to see those pictures! Is Ron going to jump???
Love to you all,

Hi Levi!
I add my AMEN! to the person's comment thanking Gavin for creating this blog. It not only taught me what "blogging" is, but it has given me the opportunity to see, through your eyes, the wonders of the bush, and the wonder of seeing you, Levi, looking better than you have in quite awhile. I know everyone's prayers are being answered, that you are receiving extra strength to enjoy this amazing journey you are on. I love the pictures, they are awesome, but mostly I love you, and I'm so proud of your accomplishments. Have a beautiful experience at The Falls, and please....let the rest of the world do the bungie jumping! Love, Aunt Reida
