On our way to Joburg

Today is the last day at Kwa Mbili lodge here in the bush. We’ll be traveling to Joburg today and then heading to Victoria Falls tomorrow. We had an incredible experience here viewing the animals. Yesterday, we were able to see a group of lionesses trying to get to a baby rhinoceros. We were right there in the middle of it. The lions were unsuccessful because the baby’s parents were quite protective and began charging at the lions. It was amazing to see the animals interacting. Levi is doing very well and is excited to see if he can do the bungee jump on the Zambezi River (world’s highest)…. we’ll see. Thanks for the comments. Levi reads them everyday and it’s a great part of his day. The outpouring of support is amazing and I know that Levi appreciates it greatly. Thank you all! - Gavin

I LOVE the picture of the giraffe. It looks like someone hit it with the stupid stick a few too many times. What an awesome experience to be right there where you can see something like that.

Levi, you look great. You're an inspiration to us all. Have a great trip to the falls. I look forward to seeing you fulfill that part of your dream adventure. As always, you ALL are in our prayers (and in the prayers of the patrons of the Mt. Timpanogos Temple).

All my love.

The first thing that I do when I get up is check out this blog! It is always fun to wake up to more pictures and another message. Levi, I hope that you can do the bungee. That would be great. I'm not sure if I want you to take Trent with you, though - it sounds so scary! I know that you can handle it, but Trent... (sorry Trent, I'm sure that you can handle it if you really want to!!) It's the longest bungee in the world, right? Keep us posted.

Love,

Heidi, Zach, & Grady

p.s. I'm psyched to be the first one to post!

To us, the greatest picture is a son kissing his mother... That is what this is really all about. Thank you, family Snarr.

Wonderful!!! Gavin, I know you are considered a part of the family, and I was so happy to see a picture of you with the Snarrs. It was so thoughtful of you to set up this blog for Levi. It is the first part of my every morning. I can't wait to open it to enjoy some more of your adventure. Levi, you look wonderful, and the picture of you kissing your Mom is priceless. The other pics are great, too, but that one is priceless. Thanks for sending it. This trip really seems to be agreeing with you. My prayers and thoughts are with you, and with your fellow travelers. My love to all of you.

Levi,

You look great. I just want you to know that you are basically a celebrity around my office. I show everyone your blog and people are starting to come up and ask me everyday what the update is from Africa, pretty amazing.

To quote the ever famous LL Cool J:
“I think when you move past your fear and you go after your dreams wholeheartedly, you become free. Know what I'm saying? Move past the fear.”

My oh My!! Love the pics, especially THE ONE that touches so many. That's truly priceless. You all look great. Who is the bearded bushman in the photos with you???? Really, Ron, I love the look, but hope to see YOU back when you return. Ha Ha. I checked out Victoria Falls on Google Earth, and they look fantastic! Enjoy! Love to all of you, Aunt Reida

Super Snarrs and Company,
When our son Ryan was on his mission in South Africa, we had some CTR rings made with the initials KO put on the rings. Kethe Okulingile was the closest meaning to "Choose The Right", which literally interprets as "Choose Wisely". We will show you the rings when you return, but while you are at Victoria Falls looking at the world's highest bungee jump, remember, "Kethe Okulingile!"
Love always,
Bob and Bobbie

....Bob left out one small detail, "Kethe Okulingle" is Zula which is a native tribe in South Africa! I didn't want you to think in was Japanese!!!! Sy, who took the picture of you and Levi? Let's hire them to do candids! That picture should definitely make the "world travels wall" It's INCREDIBLE! Love you guys

I'm looking at all of these pictures wondering which ones I want on my wall. Since I can't decide, I guess I'll just have to take them all. Wait, I don't have a wall big enough for 10,000. DANG-IT!!! Seriously, I'm loving your trip. It gives me something to look forward to every day since I have to go to work (woo-hoo), and we still don't have any snow. *sigh*. Have fun in Victoria Falls, and I say GO FOR THE BUNGEE JUMP! You're the only person I know who is brave enough (or crazy enough) to do it. Since you're there, just do it! You don't get this opportunity every day, right? I'll be the devil's advocate for you! Love to all, and I look forward to more adventures with you :). Travel safely!

P.S. Of course, if you're not up to the bungee jump, then don't do it. There is a TINY bit of reason left in me. I'm not ENTIRELY the devil's advocate. Working on it, but not there yet :). But if you are up to it, I want pictures! Love ya!

Levi,
My brother showed me your website the other day. It kicks my website's arse! I love it. Beautiful pictures, BTW. It looks absolutely majestic there. You really look fantastic also. I know everyone says that, but wow, you really do.

I love the video of shooting the tube. I think I might have been in that one...maybe. We had at LEAST 18 people going down the time I came last year. I was so scared I totally chickened out of the last run!!!

I just wanted to say thanks for not hogging your journey, and for sharing it with the rest of us. There is much we have learned and will learn through our association with you. I also put you and your family's names on the temple prayer roles every time I go - so does my mom. It works! We have some serious power down here. Well, it's God's power, but we get to use it! Crazy!

Anyway, enjoy the rest of your trip! Loves to your family and Gav. What up Gav?

Love,

Melissa Taylor (Steadman)

Just jumping on the bandwagon again to "amen" all comments.

Victoria Falls beckons - but the thrill of the last ten days is totally "priceless"

Thanks for sharing with all the homebound souls - You truly make each and every day for us as we catch up with your adventures.

Continue to enjoy the journey - It's been a great ride thus far.

Keep the photos and messages coming! We love you all - Thanks again Gavin for setting this up so that we can spy on y'all.
