Can't wait to get home! - 33 hours of traveling first though

We decided to send one last blog before we came home. We caught a flight from Livingston, Zambia this afternoon, arrived in Joburg, and are now waiting for our next flight. It will be a long journey home but I am excited. I wish I had the ‘easy’ button… just push and be home. This morning after breakfast we went into Zimbabwe again and got an up-close look at the falls. They are beautiful and a great way to spend our last morning here. After the falls we went back to the Victoria Bridge between Zambia and Zimbabwe and Gavin did a proxy bungee jump for me along with my cousins Doug and Mike. I’ve said it before but I am so grateful for the chance that I had to come to Africa. This experience has surpassed my expectations. Where there is a will, there is a way! I know that all your prayers and thoughts have greatly contributed to my safe travel and rejuvenation. I love you all and we’ll see you soon. - Levi

This is Gavin…. Levi doesn’t know that I’m writing this but he’s planning on passing out candy at his house on Halloween. It’s located on 931 East Searle Ave (approx 5180 South) in Murray. I think it would be neat if some of you went by and saw him… he would love it. Thanks to all of you. You greatly contributed to this whole experience with your comments, thoughts, and prayers. Thanks! He’ll have king size candy bars too!

LEVI!! What a perfect way to show all the amazing things you have seen over the last month. The closest thing to a wild animal that I have been able to see is my 19 month daughter covered in spaghetti sauce. Just as scary as a lion chasing after you but not quite as intense. It seems like yesterday that we were playing JR. JAZZ with all the Dilworth boys. You, Me, Gavin, Ben, etc. Those are and will always be the years that I look back on with the most fondness. You guys were the best friends that I ever had. Our thoughts are with you always.....not in a creepy, staulker way, but in a good, positive, we love you kind of way. Tell your family we love them and may just have to stop by for one of those king size candy bars on halloween. Food will get me to show up just about anywhere.
Love you brother!

Hey Levi.

Just thought you might like to know your blog got great press at church today. Everyone was talking about it and you and how they are all thinking about you and your family and praying for you.

Thanks Gavin for creating this blog site so we could all share a part of this experience vicariously. Thanks Sy for the incredible prictures. Your late afternoon shot of Victoria Falls is now the desktop background on my computer (is it copyright infringement if the photographer is a friend?).

And especially thanks to you Levi for showing us all what believing can accomplish.

BC

PS - Ron, you are looking very Indiana Jones.

Wow. I can't believe that OUR trip is comming to a close. It was truly an amazing experience and I will remember it always. Maybe someday I'll even go in person. Until then, I will enjoy OUR trip. I would love to be there in person on Halloween and see your house, but I'm afraid I'll just have to be there in spirit. I hope you guys have a safe trip and rest well when you get home. I love you all!

oops.... I posted this in the wrong place before. so here it is where I meant to post it:

Saint Gavin (as you are now affectionately known in the hearts of all of us devoted levistrong blog readers), you will all no doubt be exhausted when you arrive in Salt Lake City.

Is is possible to post an arrival update on the blog, even a short one, so we can know you all arrived back home safe and sound?

An appreciative daily reader.

I hope you are asleep on the plane as I write this. I pray for a safe journey for you, and as comfortable as possible. This has been an amazing experience for you, Levi, and I am so grateful that you were able to fulfill that dream. The photos and experiences are incredible. I am grateful to Gavin for setting up this blog for you so we could share the trip. What a wonderful thing the internet is. I wish I could be in Salt Lake when you get there, to give you a hug and tell you in person how much I love you. You are such an inspiration to me and to so many others! My prayers are always with you, Levi. Save me one of those giant candy bars. You look so good in pictures your Mom took of you, and in the group pictures, too. The falls are absolutely gorgeous, and I can imagine how spectacular they must be to visit in person. Kudos to Gavin and your cousins for doing "THE JUMP!! My love to you and all your fellow travelers. I hope to see you soon!

Love,
Aunt Leanne

I get it now. Never been bungee jumping so now I understand about the harness. I'm glad that Gavin did it for you. Those falls are breathtaking. I can't even imagine how much more breathtaking they are in person. Thank you for all the pictures. When you get home, let us know where we can get a wrist band. I found a place where I can get them personalized, but if you have any to give out, I know that we would really love some. Everyone looks like they really had a good time, especially you Levi. I love to see that smile. Have a safe trip home and a great Halloween!

Lots of Love,

Sierra, Spencer, CJ and Avary

Ah! That bungee jump!!! I can't believe anyone dares do that! I never would.

You look GREAT, Levi, and i too wish you a nice trip home. I always wish i could push that EASY button too-but it never happens.

You and your fam will be in my thoughts all day today-i'll be hoping that you're all doing alright.

I'm so happy for you to have accomplished this trip! It's truly amazing!

It is wonderful (and rare) when an experience EXCEEDS your great expectations...Congratulations!!!

Levi we had a Sister in our ward yesterday speak about serving in the Temple. She told her foundest moment in the 14 years she has served in the Bountiful Temple. It was about you & the Endowment Session she served in while you recieved your Endowment. We felt so special to know you & that you had made a choice that allowed her to have the most unforgetable experience of her time as a Temple Worker. She said she had never felt the Spirit as she did with you there in that room. I can only imagine Zach was there with you as well. We love you & are so excited to see you. Thanks for sharing your journey to Africa with us.
God Speed,
Nate, Leah, Eliza, Taylor (Zach), & McKay Smith

All good things come to an end, even glorious trips to Africa. I feel as though I returned there, with the family Snarr, (and this time I got to enjoy it, because I didn't have to endure the heat!) It has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience to follow your paths over there through this blog. By now you are close to home, if not already there. I hope you can just rest and recuperate. Thanks Levi, for your courage and faith to take this trip. You are truly an example to all of us. I will always remember October 2007 as "Levi's month." Your birthday, your trip to Africa, and especially that very special date of October 12, where we were all, including Zach, in the Bountiful Temple with you. Much love to you Levi, Aunt Reida
